going to st john!

Going to St. John! leaving 11/8, celebrating Marc's wedding.  I received another contact from a very nice woman who found your stone on Maho.  I am contact a couple times a year by people that see it, what a legacy and tribute.  thinking of you on your sept 14th, would have been 72 years young!

Going to St John, second time this year!  leaving 3-21 thru 3-25 for our birthdays, two big ones this year.  Found the stone in Jan-13, haven't seen it since 09!!

Going to St John!  We are taking the kiddos at 4am, be on island by 5pm.  Can't wait to share the memories I have witht them.  We hope to find the memorial stone, haven't seen it in a year! 6-29-10

We left mom's memorial stone resting at crazy lady beach.  It was so different without her, but I have realized she would want our tradition to continue.  We placed he memorial stone at crazy lady beach, a perfect spot.  The sun was shinning, the water was perfect, there were 7 sailboats out (our record is 31).  Mom, as promised you are at crazy lady's forever.  I love you.

My mom is resting at peace, with her mom in Leesburg VA.  We will continue our 25 year tradition of Christmas in the islands, and visit her granite stone forever.

7/18/09, found the memorial stone, cleaned it up, gave it a ride around maho in an inner-tube, and returned it to rest until next time.

Thanks to everyone during this difficult time.

This memorial website was created to allow all everyone to share stories, quotes, pictures or sympathies with everyone who was touched by my mom.

Barbara lived for others.  She was a gifted teacher with deep compassion and powerful intelligence that she used to better the lives of thousands of students.

She was a trusted friend who brought joy to others.  She was a devoted mother to me and my brother. She was an example of humanity we should all strive to attain.  She will be deeply missed, though her legacy of love, joy and cheer will live on with the thousands of people who were touched by her gentle hand.
