Being here in St. John without her is so hard, but I have so many fun memories of her here. I went to crazy lady today and just really felt her there with me. It is our (family)place. There was never a day that I was here that I was not there with her. Sitting in the sun, floating in the water, and having such fun conversations. I kept looking up expecting to see her floating on her pink inner tube. Having dinner without her is rediculously hard, but I thank God for all the time I had with her. There is no one that could ever replace that space in my life that is missing, but thank you Barbara for all the wonderful memories and making me feel like I was your daughter. I love you and I know you are here with us. We miss you! T
I don't even know where to start. I have so many specific memories, but my biggest memory is/was her love. She always wanted to know how to help. I have been, and will continue to be, the father my mother taught me to be. Mom- thank you for teaching me what to do with Andy. Whenever I have doubts, I think about something you would do, or how you handled a situation with me. The true spirit and impact of a person is what carries on. Mom- I carry you on as does Andy through me.

Barbara was such a kind and loving person. She always put everyone else first, especially her students! She was a light and joy to be around. She touched so many lives offering hope and encouragement. She was a blessing in my life and in the lives of countless children and their families.
Thank you everyone that came out on Saturday to remember Barbara. It was so wonderful to see so many people that cared about her and all the nice memories they have of her. She is so loved and so missed.
